I'm not using Girder 4 or MC 11, but I know in MC 11.1 the GML file is located in C:\Program Files\J River\Media Center 11\Data\Extras\Girder

Have you tried that?

All of the commands there work for 11+. Is there a command missing from there that you need?

yes ofcourse, im happy to. but remember that i made it to my preferences, just a few commands, and im still adding stuff. it is not finished. some other buttons i use for the soundcard and software mixer, but they are in their own gml file. i guess the file is easy to modify and to add commands. be shure to change the commands to the remote that is needed. i use a streamzap.

the file as zip, can be downloaded herehttp://www.gappie.nl/fotos/mc11.zip

and when somebody has a problem or does not understand something about the file, maybe i do.  ;)

I will test it, because I have many problems with Girder, MC and my Hauppauge 350

Is MC 11 still using mjextman.exe? Or has it switched to MC11.exe?

Here's the GML I've been using. I updated the one in the MC Extras folder with all of the commands that have been added since it was created. Not all of the commands will work with all versions of MC, and some of them, if you want to use them, may have to be tweaked with your specific parameters, but I've tested all of the commands I could. (I don't have a handheld so I couldn't test those, for instance). It includes a version that uses MC11.exe and a version that uses mjextman.exe. I'm not sure at which version MC stopped using mjextman and started using MC11, though.

Also, the zone-specific playback controls haven't been updated. I'll do that later if I can figure out a really quick way to do it.

Click here to download it. (http://doof.monadnockdesign.com/MC11.gml)

(You'll probably have to right-click and choose Save Target As, since it's an XML file and IE will just display it)

That's a Girder 3.x GML file right?

I'm working on a good Girder 4.x GML file right now for my Firefly and ATI RW2 remotes.  Should be done this weekend.

media centre.exe

I don't think this is correct.  "Media Center.exe" is the executable for the program, but as far as I know, the latest version of MC is using "MC11.exe" ("C:\WINDOWS\system32\MC11.exe") for girder commands.

Yeah, Girder 3.92b or whatever the last free version was. I didn't see the need to pay $50 for version 4. :P

Yeah, that's why my GML uses MC11.exe, but it also includes another section that uses mjextman.exe, for the versions of MC prior to switching over to MC11.

I downloaded the trial of Girder 4 and the GML I posted a link to seems to work fine with it. Is there supposed to be some version problem there?
