Title: Automatically connect to Media Server at startup?
Post by: skidoo on September 19, 2002, 06:28:53 pm

I've searched the help and the forum, but I can't find any information on how to get MJ to connect to a Media Server automatically at startup.

I have a Media Server running in my house, and a bunch of PCs here and there. I'd like all of these jukeboxes to just be clients of the MS. But I don't want my wife or whoever to have to click [Tools\Media Server\Connect to Last] each time they want to listen to some tunes.

I can whip up a WSH script, but surely there's a feature I'm missing...?

Have you tried Media Scheduler?

That just runs stuff at a specified time, right? I want to run MJ and have it automatically connect to a MS. I envision it as a command-line option or something.

Check the /Connect command line.

Uh, yeah. Umm, that'll definitely do the trick. Thanks.
