I was wondering whether there was an easy way to use the "Library Server" to rip music on all of my computers. I have a bunch of CDs to rip and could easily have 4 or 5 machines ripping the CDs. Ideally I'd setup one Library server and have them all dump the files over to the server.
Has anyone done this? Is it possible to do this with the Library Server?
Thanks

There isn't. Sorry.

Round here you can get a cdrom drive for £10, just get a few of those in one PC and get ripping :)

I'd love this as a feature in future versions. The ability to rip from any machine connected to a central MC Library Server could be very cool.
Yeah, I've thought about getting extra drives for that, but I don't do it very often.
Really, what I'd like is to have my server with RAID array (think NOISY!!!) off in another room and not have to go there to rip disks.
Thanks,

Just create a network shared drive on the MC server. Rip you files from any client PC to the shared directory. Write the tag information to the files. Then get the MC instance on the server to import media from that directory.
Seems to work for me...

just also put a bunch of cd rom drives in your server. i mean its not like u have to be there while the cds are ripping, and getting up and walking to the server would be good exercise for ya ;).
