Title: importing playlists (itunes)
Post by: greggd3 on April 22, 2006, 09:41:51 am
Why is there no simple easy way to import playlists like you can import songs?  It is a pain to enter all the files going between itunes and Media Center.  Or, I am I just missing something?

MC can import and export playlists in standard m3u format. You can import m3u playlists to iTunes by dragging them into the songlist area in iTunes. The problem is that iTunes cannot export its songlists in m3u format.

This utility can be used for converting exported iTunes songlists to m3u format:

The itunes convertor is great as was the idea that I can drag and drop into iTUNES.  Thank you.

I still don't get how I can import an M3u file in MC10.  I looked all through the file menu and I don't see it.  Help please.

Enable shell integration in MC options and try right-click import from Windows Explorer. The new playlist should appear in the Imported Playlists playlist group. Also, you can simply drag and drop playlists to MC.
