Does anybody know, why the "Read offset compensation" option isn't active and can't be changed (on my computer)?

Thanks, Alex!
Just to be sure that I understand correctly:
There are still problems with the implementation and at the moment this feature isn't usable for nobody? If this is so, why is it still mentioned in the documentation as "option for advanced users"? And shouldn't be an unusable option unvisible instead of inactive? Just my 2 cents...

It is not working (...yet? :) ).
I think it could be removed completely. The plain read offset compensation is not really useful without everything else that EAC has for making exact duplicates of audio CDs. MC is designed to make accurate track files, not duplicating CDs. The small read offset differences that various drives have do not normally cause any audible problems.

So why not deleting the option? I think that would be less confusing.
