Title: m4a to mp3 conversion

Hi. 

I've done a search but was unable to find a direct answer.  Will MC 11 convert ma4 files to mp3.  Friend of mine ripped all his music with ITUNEs in m4a format.  I was wondering if MC 11 would help him out. 

I've been using MediaCenter ver. 10 for a long while.  Originally used ver. 9  Finally thinking of upgrading to ver. 11 because I have a new video IPOD.

Yes. m4a is now supported natively since MC 11.1. You/your friend must install certain DirectShow filters. Our current recommendation is MP4 Splitter and FFDShow, both are open source and freely available. Search for the latest builds on the internet.
