Title: One missing file when synching ipod with 11.1.91
Post by: bd6675 on May 02, 2006, 08:38:31 pm
When I look in the playlist view in MC it says there are 4497 files.  When I look in the iPod view it shows one less (4496).  I am wondering if there is a way to figure out which track is missing?  In addition, I am wondering why if the playlist view shows 4497 files and all playlists are checked off when I synch, the ipod does not have all 4497 files?  I have a 60g video iPod with the latest iPod software (3/23/06).  All 4497 files are mp3 files.  Any ideas?

You probably have one file in your playlist twice.

Matt,

Thanks for the reply.  That is helpful.  Now, the question is, is there an easy way to determine which playlist (I have almost 200) has the duplicate track?

Thanks again for your response,

If you don't notice it, why be concerned?

Hey Jim,

The reason I am concerned is because how do I know how to prevent this from happening in the future?  Something is not right if in Windows Explorer it says I have 4497 files and in the MC Playlists view I have 4497 files but on the ipod I have one less file (4496).

Matt,

I am not sure how your scenario can be true if in Windows Explorer I have 4497 files and I also have 4497 files in the MC Playlists view.  The thing that is throwing me off is the fact that there are 4497 in Windows Explorer.  Do you get what I mean?  Any ideas?
