Hi!
I've been meaning to ask about this for a long time, but never got around, so here it is:
In winxp sp2 > Start menu, the icon for Media Server is among the top ones. I don't know why it's here because I've disabled Media server in MC, and is not running it in autostart. What is it about?
Thanks!

Right click on it to remove the icon.

I have, several times, but it keep on resurfacing....is there a registry key for Media Server or another way to get it running (except for Autostart, reg.section Run)?

When you say it's "among the top ones", do you mean that it is ABOVE the line on the LEFT of the Start Menu???
(ie. up where Outlook/Outlook Express/Your Email Client and Internet Explorer / Avant Browser / Mozilla / Your Web Browser icons are?)
If that's where it is, Right-Click and select "Unpin From Start Menu"

No it's not pinned to the menu, just among the top ones like run many times.

...and right-click and selecting "Remove From This List" doesn't make it permanently go away?

Exaclty. Just like when you play a game alot, and when you don't want your boss to see that you're playing that game. You remove it, but after a while playing it, it reappears in the list. You know what I mean. :)
