My best computer (processor speed/sound card) is connected directly to my stereo and acts as the file/ print server (runs Windows XP Pro.) I have a laptop and wirless network (peer to peer.)
I have multiple zones set up, eg. my garage, living room, bedroom, porch via my A/V unit. MC is set up on both computers. Since it is portable I want to be able to use my notebook to play my music but have the actual audio output run through my main computer's audio card and stereo.
I tried Window's remote desktop from my laptop but it still uses its organic soundcard. The MC Zone Manager will work great; I can play different songs on my porch than company might be listening to in the kitchen but I don't want to have to run inside and upstairs to skip a song at my desktop computer when I've got my laptop right there. I am sure there is a solution; any clever ideas?
Thanks,
Ryan

In the options of remote connection (Local resources tab)there is a box to check to "bring sound to remote computer" or "leave at host computer" (something like that). Be sure the setting is NOT to bring sound to remote computer and it will work as you would like.
