Title: how to encode mp3 from wav?

how do I encode mp3 from wav? I have a disc with wavs on it and want to rip it. thanks!

Find the CD drive in MC tree > Drives & Devices, select the wave files and do right-click > Library Tools > Convert...

Click the Options button inside the converter window and set the Converter and Encoding options before running it.

thanks alex,

thats what I have been trying to do. I guess that does not work when the wavs are on dvd. I solved this by copying the files to my computer and then the converter worked for that...

I guess not since it's a dvd, you will get the same effect on a CD also. It may work on a rewritable CD

I am not sure if you can direct the convert to a new path and not try to write the convert back to the device like you were doing.
