Title: disable changing cover art thumbnails?
Post by: Bill Kearney on May 19, 2006, 05:58:52 pm
Is there a way to tell MC11 to not change the thumbnails during a mouseover?  When using the machine via VNC or Remote Desktop it's a waste of bandwidth having those pictures changing (and slow too).   I would've thought turning off Stacks would have done this but that only changes the graphic.

Don't get me wrong, it's a nifty feature but it'd be nice to have a way to disable it, if not on a per-view basis, then program-wide.

Have you tried the VNC "unstable" version? It's much faster (and I haven't found any stabillity issues in the last 3 months of using it.

It's not about VNC being fast or not, it's about having MC11 be able to turn off what amounts to a fluff-feature.   Besides, it's also slow using Remote Desktop.  Just give us a config option to disable it.

Well if your going down that route, then why just not use
panes mode, then you've got no bandwidth being wasted with images
what so ever!
