Title: Burning to Disk is Broken
Post by: pjcague on May 21, 2006, 12:26:39 am
Hi

I have MJ 8.0.4 and I notice now that I can not burn either mp3's or audio disk's this has come about (to the best of my knowledge) after I got my Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-109 burner,..  is the issues or driver updates needed to make his work,..

No I do not try to burn to DVD disks I use normal CDR disk as I have always done
I burn at 2 speed and find it goes through the presetup and then starts the burn and returns the following:

A device error occurred. Error number is 1002
Error data is: KEY: 2 ASC: 4 ASCQ: 8

I have no idea what this is and it's does it on every machine I try to test it on, the only common denominator seens to be the dvd burner hardware, does this only work with normal CD Burners?

Cheers
Peter

Try a reinstall of MJ.  If that doesn't work, please try Media Center:

Since MJ8 was created like 4 years ago it may not support newer Drives.

They have not made or are likely to make any updates to MJ8, thats why JimH said to try MC11
