How do i add an image to a post, i can't seem to figure out how it's done

The picture itself must be hosted somewhere,
either in your own personal web hosting space
or somewhere like www.imageshack.us

Then you paste the url inbetween image tags.

Pictures can only be so big, else they don't fit in the space.
In which case just link to them instead using url tags..
