My wireless mouse sometimes gets a mind of its own, and when I when to click the 'Yes' option on delete empty folders, it jumped over and checked the 'don't ask me again' check box instead. Then I reflexively clicked 'Yes' before unchecking that box. Looked in the options and didn't see that in there. How do I get the prompt back? There are times when I DON'T want MC to delete empty folders.

It's in the registry somewhere if you don't mind going dumpster diving.

Check here:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\JRiver\Media Center 11\Properties\Confirm - *

Thanks. Never would have found that.

Interesting thread. That's the problem with those "don't ask me again" check boxes. If you check accidently or just change your mind, it can be difficult or near impossible to be asked again.
Perhaps there can be a place in Options to turn the boxes back on? Most folks don't like to mess with the registry if they don't have to.

Agree. I've seen the option "Reset dialog confirmation" or similar in other programs. With MC, I never touch that checkbox in case I forget why it's there in the first place.

this should be in setup so you can undo

MC has a few "don't ask again" tickboxes that cannot be reset without registry editing.
Another registry key is explained here: http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=31146.msg214482#msg214482.

I know, it was more of a suggestion

A global reset option for these "don't ask" keys would be good.
