Title: Recurrent problem
Post by: Oakenholt on June 08, 2006, 03:20:15 am
Cutting out a selected area, then saving the resultant file, all is OK. However, if I then try another cut in the same program, when I try the save the result the second cutout is the part that is saved. I.e the one that is in the clipboard not the one I want.
The only way I can recover is to reinstall Jukebox, when the whole proceedure starts again with the same fault.
I don't want to use up my quoter of re-registrations.
Thank you
Peter Best.

If you are talking about media editor

it takes some getting used to but it works when you know how.

it also has a undo fuction in case you make a mistake.

Many thanks,
Yes I am taking about Media Editor and Yes when I get the error on saving I can return to the original file using Undo.
But the problem persists. Using Cut and then Save the original file with my cutout portion removed is saved Ok. But when I then try a second cut on this saved file and then save the file which has been cut for a second time only the cut portion, which is in the clipbpard, is saved!

I can only resolve the matter by re-installing JukeBox.

Don't use Cut, Use Edit > "Delete Selection"

See How That Works For You

I had the same problem with Media Editor Until I Strated Using "Delete Selection"

Thank you for that (Edit->Delete Selection) Have tried it on the installation I am having trouble with...But no luck as the edited portion is still the one saved!
I will therefore remove JukeBox, reinstall a new program and then try out your suggestion.
I think that Cut and Save must corrupt the program when using WindowsXP? Trouble is one can quickly run out of your re-registration quota.
