I've asked this a couple of times inside other threads, but didn't get a response, so here it is in it's own thread!
Some time ago I believed there was a trial uploading to coppermine from MC, but it never came into production.
This is important to me as I currently use coppermine on my server and would like to use MC on my PC to manage all my family photos.
Is this likely to happen at some stage in the not too distant future, or is it a dead horse?
Or could it be implemented as a plugin?
JimH/Matt, if you don't want to make a statement on here, can you please email me so I know if I continue down the MC track or have to look at alternatives for my photo solutions. (if you email me an answer, I won't disclose what you say publically on here I promise!)
Thanks
Richard

That's all I can tell you.
I noticed that google has added web uploads to Picassa. Yahoo is doing something, too.

funny you should mention that jim, I signed up for picassa web albums this evening. Just to be nosey mind you, I'm not overly keen on climbing into bed with all things google.
Now, the bare minimum that's needed, as I see it atm, is for MC to save captions in an iptc/EXIF/XMP tag that can then be read by other programs such as picassa.
Then all we need to do is drag and drop from MC, et viola!

This is the thread that prompted me to ask what was happening.
I guess I'll take the response as a "no comment".
Next step is to look at writing a plugin, I have a script for iMatch so I might see how easy it would be to adapt this for MC. Not that I have much programming experience and certainly none with MC.
