Title: Importing playlists

I'm about to reformat my drive so i will need to reinstall MC, I have a large number of playlists and what i need to know is, how do i import the saved MPL playlists into the reinstalled application.

Internal playlists are a part of a library backup.

To import external playlists:
Tools > Import

You can import an MPL playlist also by right-clicking the file. (Enable the shell integration in MC options first.)

However, as Matt said, a library backup preserves all playlists including the smartlists (File > Library > Backup Library...).

Just copy the backup zip file to a safe place before reformatting. You may want to backup the cover art folder too (in case you use a separate cover art location).

After you have reinstalled MC do: File > Library > Restore Library...
