Title: MC and hidden folders

Can MC be made to view hidden folders on devices? If you follow the Sansa thread in this forum you will see that the device hides the music folder and MC can not see the media on the device. I can see all the files in Explorer by setting Explorers preferences to view hidden files/folders. It would sure be nice if I could do the same in MC.

just an idea, have you tried altering the properties of the folder (on your device) to non-hidden using explorer?

Yes, the Sansa resets the attribute after every synch.

We're up in the air on this one because it feels like a device bug to us.

When the device is switched from MTP to MSC the device should make those folders visible. We've tested this on two other jukebox-style players (that shall remain nameless) and they didn't display the hidden folders/files either.

Specifically not listing hidden or system files and folders is required for many devices.

We've discovered the easiest way to work around this problem is to change your 'Audio Path' in options from 'Music' to 'My Music'.
