Title: Reload Database Scheduled Event
Post by: rpalmer68 on June 30, 2006, 01:20:49 am
Any chance of having an event we can trigger in the scheduler to reload the library?

My HTPC connects to my Main PC (Running Library Server), but to get an updated library I have to exit and restart MC on the HTPC, if I could just tell the HTPC to reload the Library at 4am I'd be set.

Or even better I guess would be to somehow dynamically load changes made to the remote library, then a reload wouldn't be needed at all.  And since this is V12Beta I guess now is the time to ask for such things!

Cheers

Third.  If I had this command, I might actually write the "application version" of my scripted library sharing system I've been putting off...

Fourth?  ;D
The ability to specify the library loaded at this point would be nice too- I'm thinking a scheduled sync from an entirely different library, then switching back to the main when done, while this can obviously be done by killing & re-starting MC with the appropriate library, but its always cleaner to use a single app/ command set.
