Title: Smartlists and iPod

I use a smartlist on MC to help filter out artists with less than 2 tracks (I have a ton of compilation CD's like Hotel Costes and Ministry of Sound....)  My library has ~4000 artists but when you put on the smartlist filter, it drops down to ~2000 - much easier to manage.  With ~200GB, I can only put part of my collection on the iPod :(

I know that I can move a smartlist over to my iPod, but it just seems to move the files over to the iPod, not just move the filter over.

Is there a way to apply some kind of filter so that when I am scrolling through the artists I don't have thousands of choices?  Basically smartlists just come over as playlists, not filters.

at the moment, that's exactly how smartlists work with the ipod.

I believe itunes can place 'dynamic playlists' (aka smartlists) on the ipod, but MC does not.
