Title: slideshow of imgs in current folder
Post by: patroclo on July 06, 2006, 06:58:44 am
Hi!
Is there a plug-in or something that can display a slideshow of the images in the folder where the currently playing music file is located?

I just want to put images (cover arts and other stuff) into the folder with each album and displays them when I play the album. Any suggestion?

Thank you

I'm pretty sure that Alex will tell you that the only way to do this is to make sure that the images have the same [Album Artist (auto)] and [Album] assigned to them, make a mixed-media View Scheme that will show you the music and image files, then be sure to play all the files in the View Scheme.

He's right, as usual.   ;D

Also, you could import the images, use a location based "all media" view scheme and just right-click > play the folder name in the tree (no image tagging is required). If you don't like to import the image files you can use the Drives & Devices tree branch instead. If you use the default audio scheme you can right-click the album thumbnail or one of the files, select Locate > inside MC and play the complete folder.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to make the slide show automatically change according to the audio file folder.

NaTeDoGG's "auto image slideshow track info plugin" can be used for
a bit similar effect, but it does not use MC's slide show function.
