Title: Anyone using Nokia 770 as Wireless Remote with MC 11 on PC?
Post by: bradesp on July 18, 2006, 02:16:28 pm
The price of the NOkia 770 is now below $400 bucks, making this a very interesting, wifi capable browser / thin client device.  I'd like to know how easy / difficult it would be to use the browser on the Nokia 770 as effectuively my "front end" to remote controlling my PC / Media Center 11.1 pc.

Thoughts anyone?  I've seen the other solutions (the remote software for cell phones?), but honestly, the simplest WAF will be if I can hand a WIFI Touch Screen Browser that displays the familar MC interface to my wife and kids and let them have at it.

Thoughts anyone?

Thanks!

I don't think there's a good browser-based interface for Media Center. You might be better off with a Pocket PC and NetRemote.

NetRemote or anything that can run a RealVNC server/client would be a better way to go.
