My installation consistently errors after about 1-2 minutes of playback.
Files are copied to other drives as backup and other PC plays everything fine without any issues. So it is something with my PC.
How can I debug this?
Thanks!

Disable or uninstall all third party plug-ins. Audioscrobbler is one that can cause problems.
Reinstall your license.

Dang! You guys are good.
It was the third=party plug-ins.
But I don't know why. I have the same ones (including Audioscrobbler) running on my other PC without issue.
This PC (with the problem) is an older early P4 model but not sure if that should matter?
Anyway, it's working again.
Thanks!

Audioscrobbler has an issue where if it's not logged into the server, it will crash MC reliably. If I remember right (I uninstalled Audioscrobbler for the same reason), it doesn't remember your login after MC is closed; i.e., you have to login via the plugin every time you open MC.

there is an alternative to the scrobbler plugin (http://www.jdnet.co.uk/PlayingNow/pn.zip) that doesn't crash.

It's the Playing Now plug-in.
