Title: Current Selected File In MC
Post by: KingSparta on July 20, 2006, 03:25:21 pm
Is there A Way For A Plug-In Can Detect What File You Currently Have Highlighted In MC?

So When Scrolling Down The PlayList (Not Playing The Files) In MC I Would Like To Detect The File That Is Currently Highlighted.

At That Point I Want To Create A Plug-In That Will Play That File Without The User Needing To Press The Play Button. And The User Could Set In The Plug-In How Many Seconds To Play Maybe Based On A Percent.

This Would Help When Editing Tags For Media Files.

Sample:

No Tags Just A File Name: Sherlock Holmes_460513_215_Uneasy Chair.mp3

If I could get the media file to play for 1 min i can then confirm it is Sherlock Holmes, and maybe the show name. at that point i can then change the tags as needed.

I think this would be a great edition to MC's tag editing tools

Would this be much different from the Preview mode already built in to MC?
Whereby you can tell the music to play for 5 secs/10secs 30 secs etc.

I don't see it In [A Version To Be Announced & At A Later Date]

It Is In The MC11.1 Help File.

Ok, but you need to dbl click on the file, not quite the same
