Title: Changing Option to store images in tags also
Post by: Magic_Randy on July 22, 2006, 09:51:30 pm
When changing the option to 'store images in tags also', does this automatically tag all of my MP3 files with the cover art image file (for MP3s already ripped) or is there a seperate process to sync up the tags for things already in the library?

BTW - I'm using MC11.1.189.

Thanks,

Randy

It changes the behavior only with new cover art images.

You need to remove and relink the cover art files:

1. select the files > right-click > Image > Remove Cover Art
(Answer no when MC asks a permission to delete the image files from the disk.)

2. select the files > right-click > Image > Quick Find In File / Cover Art Directory

This should work if you have used one of the standard cover art location & naming options. Try this with a few files first.

Alex,

Thanks...

I was hoping all I had to do was the quick find (without the removal of cover art first).

Anyway, the computer has to do the work, not me, so thanks for the instructions.

yes this worked for me also.

Now, can I remove the external files and directories containing cover art if all my tags show inside file?

I would keep them as a backup.
