If you transfer files to your iPod with Media Center 11.1 and after you eject the iPod the files don't show up - do the following...
1. Install Media Center 11.1.192 or later (MC 11.1.192 has a fix for iPod's running the latest firmware [updated on or after 2006-06-28])
2. Initialize your iPod. You can do this by right-clicking on the iPod in MC and picking it from the menu. (This will erase all data on your iPod!)
3. Try synching/transferring again.
NOTE:
If you continue to have problems of this kind you may have an iPod that we can't identify correctly. You can help us help you by turning on Debug Logging in the help menu, ticking Output to a Log file and Handhelds in the list of event types, searching for the line that contains the string "Checking USB information" and including that line along with a description of the type of iPod you have to this post.
Please don't post unrelated iPod problems here.
Thanks,
Rick

I've had exactly this problem with 3 differnt iPods now (a 60GB Photo, 4GB Nano and 60GB Video). I followed your instructions but the log file doesn't have a line with "Checking USB information" in it.

Please send me your log files (rick @ jriver dot com).
Make sure you have handheld logging turned on and that you are logging to a file.
The log file can be found at...
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\J River\Media Center 11\Log.txt

Here is the alternate http link on the download page:
http://ftp.jriver.com/pub/downloads/music/MediaCenter11.exe
If you're able to download and it won't install, it could be a virus checker, etc. Try this thread for more ideas:
