Title: issues with my sound

I have the strangest problem with my sound.  My sound works with media center and media player, but it basicly doesnt work with anything else.  Also I can not turn the sound up or down in media center or using the remote, media center says the sound is at 0 but there is sound comming out of the speakers and I cannot move the sound volume off 0.  Any help would be appriciated.

You can switch MC playback from Direct Sound to Wave Out or vice versa.  Try Tools/Options/Playback.

MC doesn't have a 'tools' tab, would it be under 'settings', also what is the difference between the two audio formats?

Are you refering to JRiver Media Center or Microsoft Media Center?
If your talking about Microsoft Media Center, you're in the wrong place.
(Give JRiver MC a go anyway it's vastly superior in many areas  ;) )

If JRiver MC then Jims refering to the Tools Menu.
