Spent last week out with Duke of Edinburgh award group as an
assistant leader for a gold expedition.
Was a fantastic week, both groups of participants made
it through to the finish after four days of walking,
despite the fairly extreme weather reaching temperatures of 34c
and above, which is quite unusual
for North Wales. There was not spot of rain either!
I had my fair share of driving the Student Union mini bus, and succeeded
in not hitting anything else on or off the road. Once you get used to
it, they are suprisingly enjoyable to drive.
On Friday evening when they all came in, we all went and had a few drinks,
before going to play in a kiddies play park in pitch black. (I'm sure some grannies walking by thought
we were complete hooligans!)
It was a really good week anyhow. I've not been in touch with them
much throughout the year since I've had alot of work on. There were
alot of people that I didn't really know to well. Theres something about
people that do these sort of things and have the gumph to get out
of bed in the morning and enjoy life, and they were a really friendly bunch,
and easy to get on with!
Most of us are very red looking despite copious toppings of sun
tan lotion!
Very much looking forward to Africa and being away from technology for a while!
Hope theres as friendly a group of people that I'm going to meet up with!

we went to "Deep Sea World". it was a fun afternoon out, though the pictures were pretty uninspiring. I'll upload them tomorrow as it's about time for me to get off to work.

lol, thanks JGreen. I love Ansels work, but I think I've still got a long way to go.
