Title: No audio plug-in on motherboard
Post by: stevenmz on August 13, 2006, 01:38:03 pm
Hello,  Hopefully this is generic enough if my card is not supported. I am installing a Leadtek TV2000 XP Expert card.  I have on board sound, no sound card. An audio cable is supplied to connect the card with the motherboard.  I can find no auxillary or cd plug in on my motherboard.  I have a Sony Vaio PCV-RS 431 with an Asus P4SD-VX motherboard. If for some reason I don't have a plug in are there any alternatives?

The motherboard does not have an audio line-in?

It has a RCA plug in in the back.  The cable supplied is intended for an internal installation.  I added this link if you would like to see what the manufacturers instructions are.  My motherboard has none of the plug-ins as shown in the pdf tutorial.http://www.leadtek.com.tw/eng/support/faq/FAQ_How_to_setup_the_audio_of_my_TV2000_XP_Expert_112204.pdf

I see. It looks like you will have to find the AUX-In/CD-In plug on the motherboard or you are out of luck. You need to see if you can get some help from your TV card maker or your computer maker.
