Title: >= 11.1.92 ipod track order problem
Post by: slipknot on August 14, 2006, 09:29:08 pm
I noticed today that my ipod tracks were all in alpha order, not track order.

After installing and re-installing and rebooting all evening, it appears that 11.1.91 is good and 11.1.92 and 93 has the problem.

With each reboot, I'd reinitialize the ipod 60 Video and synch about 20 files.

With 11.1.91, Riverside(1) is before Clarice(8) on America's first album (as it should be).

With 11.1.92 and 93, Clarice is the first track from America's first album on the ipod (not right) but it's really track 8, Riverside is track 1.

For my ipod and computer at least, 11.1.92 introduced an ipod track ordering problem.

Is this inside of all views, or just certain views on the iPod?

Thanks.

Matt,

I can select an Artist, then an Album on the ipod and see the track ordering problem.

If I add an artist and/or album to the On-The-Go playlist, I see the same ordering problem.

I see the same thing on my 60GB Photo.  Looked at Music > Albums, Music > Artist, and Music > Genre  - all showed tracks in alpha order.

Same here...

I'm using the iPod 60g with the latest (6/28) system software and MC 11.1.92.  I initialized the iPod and did a full sync after loading this version of MC.

All tracks on the iPod are now in alpha seq.  All views appear to be the same.

Thanks for the heads up.

This will be addressed in a build available in the next day or two.

Loaded the new build, re-synced, and order is restored.  Thanks for the quick update.

Yes life is good, order is restored.  The world is now safe for democracy again.  Thanks.
