Title: Mini View - Slim issues
Post by: dcwebman on August 15, 2006, 01:12:16 pm
I like the looks of it but would need the Always On Top option.

While in Slim view, there is no way to select another mini view.

Clicking on the display and selecting Tag doesn't do anything.

After trying some different options (unfortunately I didn't keep track of every one) I clicked Ctrl+2 and got a popup that said:
"Media Center can not load any suitable skins.
Please restart your computer and try again.
If this does not remedy the problem, please re-install the latest version of Media Center."

The left rewind button reaches too far to the left on the mouseover. It highlights when the cursor is not even on the button.

It would be nice if it was put on a diet and was a little slimmer but it's a good start.

Also, despite being checked, the "Display Spectrum Analyzer" option doesn't work.

Make it a little wider.  They'll show up.

Ah... cool. I didn't even know you could change its size.

So now my next question is... how can we do this in our mini-view skins?

I think it's called Standard View.

I think Slim should be another option from the view menu
rather than seen as a mini skin.  Although technically
maybe this is less correct I think new users would find it
easier...
I also wonder if the skins menu should be moved the view menu?
A skin isn't really a tool in my view..

Another idea:
You could have the skin menu's coming of the view menu items....
So
View
  - Stadard View
      - Standard View Skins
  - Mini View
      - Mini View Skins
  - Theatre View
      - Theatre View skins

Clicking on say Standard view would still take you to standard view...
just an idea...
