Hello,
Would it be possible to add a function/icon that would allow quick zone switching?
Thanks.
-
What, they still haven't implemented this? Myself and a whole host of others asked for this AGES AGO. And it's STILL NOT AVAILABLE?

yes, would be nice. i searched for that some days ago.

do you mean quicker than ctrl+t, or a way to get from zone1 to zone4 in one step?

I'd like to have toolbarbuttons to jump from zone 1 to zone 4. At home I use zone 1-3, no problem to toggle through all zones or using Player -> Playback Options to change the zone.
At Party I only use Zone 1 (for Playback) and 4 (for Headphone prelistening) and there it would be nice to change them quicker without toggling through all the other zones or using Player -> Playback Options.

I'd like to see this too. Preferably a single toolbar button with a drop-down where you can choose from your defined zones (like the current Mode toolbar button). I'd be okay with individual toolbar buttons for zones too, but I'd really prefer the Mode-button-like approach (smaller space on toolbar and still quick and functional).

both would be nice. for me it is not quicker than ctrl t but there are other people who use this machine and everytime my wife (who is actually very handy with computers) has to ask:what was it again, changing zones?
-
Control T isn't quicker when it means pulling out the keyboard drawer for a rack mounted display. In version 11 days the excuse offered was they already had the artwork/UI frozen. Apparently there's quite a freeze going on with version 12 too.

I have only recently found that the "DSP Studio" button has right-click playback options too. The zones are listed in the first right-click menu. This may help a bit.
-
Nope, right clicking doesn't help AT ALL when you're using a touchscreen. Really, it's been a simple request that plenty of users have made, for quite a long time. Meanwhile they keep grafting on countless creeping features while ignoring just basic usability. MC's great and all but it's niggling little UI requests like this that stand directly in the way of suggesting it to other users. If it can't be demoed easily then it ain't gonna benefit from sales.

Thank you, Alex, for that tip! It's a quiet nice workaround to me!

Next build:
NEW: Added ability to add a "Zones" button to the toolbar.

Well, well. truth to the squeaky wheel argument?

Nice. Build 110 is shaping up to be pretty sweet to play with over the long (in the US) weekend. Thanks!

We had to take time out of our busy schedule of "grafting on countless creeping features."

Originating from the word "owned", the word later took on the 1337 variation 0wn3d. Because this was primarily used as a cry of victory or supremacy in first person shooter games online, typos occured, the most common involved missing the "o" key and hitting the "p" key. This stuck, leaving us with the words pwn, pwn4g3, and pwn3d
Dude, 3 head shots in a row, you just got pwn3d.

A intended mispelling in leet speak, originally coming from having root access to a UNIX operating system such as if it were your computer you would own it, but by means of exploiting a hole in their system, you gain full control of their system, and in essence own it, or should I say 'pwn' it. If you are a victim of such an escapade you would be considered 'pwn3d'. This has been taken out of context as you can see over the years buy wannabe "hackers" and children with nothing more to do than try to act `leet`.
"Yeah, he was running a vulnerable finger daemon and I pwn3d his ass with a simple buffer overflow"
"haha, you got pwned by that guy with 4 fingers"
"all your base are mine, i pwn you"

It was only recently that I figured out what the word "pr0n" meant. Here's a case of a picture being worth 10,000 words.

Sometimes a few characters can create a picture. (http://www.google.com/search?en&q=pr0n)

Alex, just bear in mind, it wasn't until we saw the elephant picture that we got the "Alexicons". What goes around, ends up with your name on it.

Wow.... ASCII pr0n. That's something.
