While browsing my library the backspace key ceases to function if I send the Playing Now screen to a second monitor. Alt-Left and the back toolbar button fail to work as well. As soon as I redirect the Playing Now back to the primary monitor all functionality is restored. I've been able to consistently produce the problem on two different computers. I'm currently running 11.1.194
I tried to search this one but the closest I could find was in a locked thread back in May.
I found no acknowledgement nor a solution.
Typically I use the second monitor (projector) when I have people over and I'm projecting the G-Force visualiser. This is also when I discovered the Backspace Bug as I was showing off how cool MC is to one of my guests. I was a bit embarrased and could not explain why navigating around the library was suddenly screwed up. Shutting off the second monitor would not be an option and navigating back via the top of the tree is too cumbersome
This is a bug, right? I can't imagine wanting this as a feature or am I just missing something... ? If it is a bug, could it please be addressed in a future build?

I noticed this too. Didn't make the connection to .184 until you just posted that.

Try taking g-force and any other third party software out of the mix.

The only third party plugin I have is G-Force, so I removed it. The bug is still there.
So then I did a full uninstall and reinstall of MC. Unfortunately the bug is still there. It doesn't matter what is running in the Playing Now screen, either Cover Art, Track Info, stock Visualization, if I send it to the second monitor the backspace will no longer work.
Jim, are you unable to reproduce this problem?
Doof? Is this the same problem you encountered back in May?

I have this problem as well. I thought it had been taken out at some point.
I would very much like it to work though, as I have it set up on my remote and of course the girl friend doesn't find it easy to use anymore.

I can confirm this bug when playing now or theater view is maximized in a second monitor. It seems that *no* hotkeys (ctrl-anything) seems to work in this mode. This is true with no 3rd party plugins installed.
