I have copied my mp3 files to a network (lan connected) drive and when I try to import them into MC 11.1.191 it will only do the first 6 or 7 folders.
My files are catergorized by "Artist/Album" so each folder has sub-folders. In order to populate my MC library I'm having to import each parent folder individually.
Would like to know if anyone has encountered this problem. What I have done is to click on 'Import Media" point to the network drive but, as mentioned above, the program will only do the first 6 or 7 folders.
I did not see this problem when my files were on an external USB drive.

I use a NAS (network access storage), but i am not having any problems with importing from this. Do you map the drive?
-
I tried mapping the drive and got the same results, thanks for the response.
-
np :)
You also got the "Exclude files previously removed from library" unchecked when you start the search?
-
Yep, thought of that one also. Unchecked everything.
-
Have you tried just drag-n-dropping them from the file system to MC?
-
It works for me fine. Perhaps you should reinstall to the latest version.
-
Thanks for the suggestions guys, I did a 'work-a-round'. I imported each main folder individually. Took me a couple of days but I got it done. Would be nice to know the reason.

Hi,
did anybody find the reason for this? I just ran exactly into the same problem when testing MC11.
When I try the workaround, it will only import 10 directory ...
I did re-install and so on.
Would be kind to see the solution.
P.S.:
From time to time I ran into this with MJ and an USB-drive too.
I'm running winXP.

There may be bugs in the network drive software. Check for firmware updates and take a look at drive problems in this thread:

Hi,
i checked out the information in this forum and did not find a solution. I'm running the newest firmware on the disk.
I do NOT think that it is MC that is causing the problems (I'm working long enough with computers to not have any prejudice about who done it) anyhow here my question:
can I do any kind of error logging in MC to come closer to the cause of this phenomen?
For example: can it tell me why it just terminates?
Thx Bahadur
