1 when i have a custom field in the database, list (semicolon delimited), is it possible to use "show alphabet" in the upper view?
2 how can i copy a lot of data from one database fied to an other?

that worked nicely, and made it possible to answer my first question myself. yes. apparantly there need to be enough different information before the alphabet shows up. 8)

Whish I had been aware of this earlier. Would have saved me hours of time. Any quick way to fill in missing Bios fields (same artist) without doing a copy/paste?

Just make a playlist of all the tracks you want to set as a certain artist. Then open track info and either select none or all (same thing) and enter your artist once. All tracks shown will update to the artist you entered. Does this help?

thanks benn. i knew that one. the problem was getting 800 different artists from one field to an other. the solution was already given by mr zirum.
