Title: tagging mode: shy check boxes?

When in tagging mode, I keep losing the checkboxes. Only a refresh brings them back.

I'm having trouble getting precise reproduction steps though. Has anyone else seen the problem?

For me, it's always in image VSs with more than a few panes. I'll filter down a bit, select a file, and get no checkboxes.

Yes i see this too in .59, not in .60 yet but just got started.

Hitting F4 i think does too.  I think it is popping out of tagging mode.
