Title: Direct Sound with MC (zone 2)

I just ran a cable to my son's room and have successfully setup the onboard Realtek AC97 via directsound. My EMU 1212M plays nice so far and remains zone 1 for my room.

My question is, why won't video files playback into his room? I have headphones on the same line and I was able to set Zone 2 DVD playback as Realtek: DirectSound, but with any thing esle (avi or mpg) it gets sent to the Emu wave device. I tried making the Realtek the default windows device and it didn't work. I also have FFDshow setup to playback all non-MPEG2 sources. It is configured to connect to directsound but still gets sent to the EMU wave device.

Anyone using FFDSHOW with MC and directsound successfully?

I set the defualt device to the Realtek and restarted Mc...it works. Regardless of what the zones are set to, MC outputs to the defualt device. Will there be a way to change this are have MC obey the playback settings as it does with audio files?
