When I opened media center 9.1 the other day it said the trial version had expired. I had bought the full version years ago and am not sure how it lost the license. I uninstalled it, can't install it again (I can't find another workable version of 9.1) and am unable to retrieve the license through the typical online methods (don't know password and e-mail has changed).
I would even consider upgrading to the newest version, but at least would like to receive the discount for having previously owned the product.
If there is anything anybody can do, let me know.
Thanks,
Jarvis

jarvis, did you change the computer name in XP's System Properties? It is one of the things that can make MC unregistered.
In any case if MC becomes unregistered the usual procedure is to restore the license from the restore page. However, if you don't have the same mail address anymore and you have lost the password only JRiver can help.
To qualify for upgrade pricing, you need to have a valid old MC license installed.

Hi Jarvis,
Send me an e-mail (gateley @ jriver.com) with as many details as you can remember about the transaction, at least the name used to purchase, the old e-mail, and whatever else you can remember.
Thanks,
j

sorry for not responding...I appreciate the quick responses....I was setting up a network at home and changed my computer name....thats probably what knocked out the registration...
I'm e-mailing John Gately with the requested information.
Thanks,
