For the past week, I've been unable to look up cover art with Sparta King's cover art finder. I receive the error that I'm not connected and that maybe the server is down. I wanted to check if it's possible that the server's been down the past week.
I doubt that that is the problem as I don't see any recent postings referencing that. I am using the latest version of cover art finder along with MC 11.1.198 and am not using a firewall. When I use Sparta King's lyrics finder, I need to disable worm protection in Norton antivirus, and I've done the same here.
So, if the server has been down that explains my problem, otherwise any suggestions would be appreciated. I will continue to look into my antivirus/security settings to see if I can find something there.
Thanks.

No, it is working

am not using a firewall
well if Nortons firewall is not running but installed Nortons firewall normaly will block most ports.
I see no point in using Norton's Firewall Windows XP's Firewall works quite well

Thanks for the fast reply. My IP address is xx.74.9.189 and the last attempted access was 9:30 PM EST. I don't have Norton's firewall.
I don't know about networking but am told that my network provider uses a firewall but does not block sites. I'm able to use Lyrics Finder; I don't know if that has any significance for this issue.
As always thanks for your help.

that ip address is not in my log so you are not connecting for some reason, normaly the reason would be a firewall of some sort.

Thanks. If I talk with my service provider, is there any particular information I can give them, in case they are blocking it?
I remember once after using aTagger that my service provider blocked all PCs from even accessing the AMG website. After speaking with them, they fixed the problem.

I would think it is your computer that is blocking, but if your provider its blocking you It may be time to get a new provider if they are blocking standard ports and sites.
If lyrics finder works then it is prob your computer, or you gave me the wrong IP address.

An Access Point or Router can also block packets on some ports.

I appreciate the help...I'll continue to look into what's blocking it.

I spoke with my service provider and they said if I gave them the address of the server a technician would look into it. Is that something you can tell or email me?
