Title: Your iPod could not be properly identified
Post by: sthomp on September 18, 2006, 08:58:15 am
This morning I plugged in my iPod Mini, which has always worked before, and got this message:

Your iPod could not be properly identified.
Please check for an updated version of Media Center
iPod type: ,0,0

After I click OK on the error message, MC crashes.

I have build 11.1.198. Windows recognizes my iPod. If I open MC without the iPod connected, MC opens fine.

I recently installed an older version of MC over my current install by accident. After I realized this I re-installed the latest build. I'm sure that has something to do with it, but I don't know how to fix it.

I've uninstalled MC. After reinstalling and connecting my iPod, MC recognizes it as if for the first time. MC has me name the iPod and goes to options. After setting options and clicking OK, the same error pops up.

Any help would be appreciated.

Please get the latest build (11.1.199) and try again.

I'm in the same boat ...
HELP ...

Where do I get 11.1.199?
I'm  using 11.1.196 (Registered) and the 'check for update' says there is no update (when I run without iPod connected).
