Whilst I am no doubt miles behind the curve in my knowledge of the state of the art, I found this Slate article interesting:

Actually, I hate that song (http://www.slate.com/id/2149977/fr/rss/)

The description of being able to specify a start and end genre and length of playlist would be so brilliant for an evenings listening, parties, etc.

PS this could go in the plugins forum, the last.fm thread or on its own - I couldnt decide, so apols if this is in the wrong place.

Thx for the excellent article, the linked to articles were even more interesting. Particularly liked pitchfork's take on the subject.

If something like this ever did get done in MC it would most prolly go with a plugin. Still waiting for the consensus on which to go with.
