Napster is evaluating the possibility of a sale by hiring of an investment bank. Citing "recent third party interest," the company has asked UBS Investment Bank to explore strategic partnerships or an outright sale of the company.

Don't most of the online distributors just use Musicnet? only one that i know of that doesn't is I believe Rhapsody. Which used to own Musicnet I do believe. I dunno been a few days since I read the article. It does seem there's too many players in the market. I use yahoo unlimited and Urge myself. both musicnet providers. started with yahoo, switched to Urge. Urge has a much better interface thru WMP 11 beta. I'm keeping yahoo now just for the radio. I like the personalized radio yahoo has.
