Title: MC11 Wav>Ape rip (invalid input file)
Post by: JONCAT on September 29, 2006, 06:58:25 am
Matt, did you have a chance to look at this?

www.catuccio.net/secure_rip.log

www.catuccio.net/test.ape

I ripped this one recently; this test.ape was a cd>wav>ape conversion rip done by MC 11.9x. If the file was corrupted, shouldn't the MAC gui report "Invalid Checksum?"I get an "Invalid input file" with both 3.99 and 4.01b2. I guess I am a bit confused as to what happens when the checksum or file gets damaged; are these two different instances which would have different results when a Verify is attempted in the Gui?

I also have a Jimmy Vaugn .ape file that is 10mb, verifies in both 3.99 & 4.01b2, but doesn't play back at all; it was converted by MC from FLAC to APE so possibly the FLAC was corrupted to start with.
