Is there any way to import a playlist from ITunes to MC? I have a playlist in ITunes that I've used to synch songs to an IPod. I'd like to switch to using MC, but don't want to recreate the entire playlist in MC. Both ITUnes and MC have libraries against the same song files on my computer. ITunes lets you export your song list to an xml file, but I don't see a way to import that into MC. Is there a way?

We've done this, but I'm not sure whether it's public yet. You could check MC12. It may work.

Thanks, but can anyone give me a more definite answer? Frankly, I don't want to deal with upgrading the software and poking around to find this feature, when it might not even be there. If someone knows how to do it, can you let me know?
Thanks in advance.

Dave,
If the playlist is not a smart playlist, you can do the following:
1. Create a playlist in MC and call it whatever you like.
2. Select the playlist...you will not see any files in the display.
3. Open iTunes and click on the playlist in question.
4. Select all of the files in the iTunes playlist and then drag them into the blank playlist in MC.

With MC 12, you can import playlists exported by iTunes as .txt or .xml files (right click on a playlist in iTunes and pick "Export Song List..."). Then in MC import the file (or add the iTunes Playlist file type to a "watched" folder) and the playlist should get imported. Look for imported playlists under "Imported Playlists" in the Playlist section of the tree.
Note: Importing iTunes 7 playlists saved as a txt file is broken in the current build. It will be fixed in 12.0.87.
