Title: Help with FLAC encoder
Post by: jojobean on October 06, 2006, 07:35:51 am
Hello,
I'm tring to rip CD's with the  FLAC encoder and i keep getting this error message after each song that is ripped ( Media Center encountered errors while tagging and moving files, check that the file exist, are not read-only, and are not in use by other programs). Using Media Center 11.1.195. Any idea's.

Thanks

Joe

Sounds like for some reason the file didn't get created (the conversion did not occur correctly).  Typically this has been a problem with the file name -- Unicode characters usually.  So the data was taken of the CD fine, but the wav was not converted.

Solutions:
Rename files so no unicode characters are used.
Try the latest encoder to see if that fixes the problem. (Link below).
