...first thanks for letting me in in the beta area :)
second
i have had MC11.1 installed and been running it as a restricted user
and i have had no problems with that...
the other day i installed beta version 12.087 and according to the instructions i have to set administrative rights
on that "user" start & restart...and then go back to restriction.....perfect it works
BUT...now i can't run MC11 any longer
the following message appears
(http://www.box.net/public/static/p1nh76omqg.jpg)
and then
(http://www.box.net/public/static/nj5ym01chh.jpg)
i Still can run MC 12 and i have to upgrade my "rights" to be able to run MC11.....(but of course i don't want to do that)
Any solution ?
third
i don't understand why this is a problem in the first place...why do i have to change the rights
on a restricted user to be able to run the program ?
...this is the first time i have come across this in any software :o

Try reinstalling MC11 again.
Maybe they were both installed to the same location? That won't work.
-
nope, MC 11 & 12 are installed in different locations
this is a issue with MC...and "restricted user" and it's not working....
...and Jim MC 11 IS working when running as a admin

Jim MC 11 IS working when running as a admin
also i have done this (reinstalled) on my laptop same result...something is fishy :(
-
You'll have to pick one if you're a limited user.
When switching from one version to the other, we need full access to the registry.
-
ok thanks Matt,
that means i can't compare the two versions :(
and i'm sorry but why is it like this ?

and i'm sorry but why is it like this ?
Again, when switching from one version to the other, we need full access to the registry. Limited user accounts don't provide this.

"Limited user accounts don't provide this"
i know that...thats why i run as a restricted user...i just think it's odd
sorry for my question :-X
