Title: Odd IE behavior with jpg files
Post by: jgourd on October 13, 2006, 08:35:59 am
This may or may not be related to installing MC12.

When IE goes to open a JPG file it offers to download it instead of viewing it. Inline JPGs in web pages are fine. Double Clicking a JPG file results in it not displaying.

I am using a mission critical medical application that uses IE to display medical data that has been scanned and instead of showing the data, I get a page that says "Action Canceled" and offers to download the image instead.

The only changes to this workstation in the last week has been the installation of MC12. If I associate the JPG files with IE they don't load either. If I drag and drop a JPG file onto an open IE window it will display the image.

I absolutley need to get this fixed and to do that I need to rule out all the suspects.

Uninstall MC12 if you think it's a problem, but I can't see how.

Do you have Windows updates on automatic?

Virus?
