Title: WhyohWhy did my ipod load wrongly?

• I tried to synch my 20 Gb Ipod.  Nothing new, mind you. 
  Message came up that I had to re-initialize.  I did.
  Ipod loaded 4000 files.
  The display showed no playlists or tunes or genere, or anything else.
  Explore showed that the disk was full.
  Now what?

Update iPod to latest firmware.
Update MC to latest version.
Try again.

There have been some random issues with iPods over the last few builds due to Apple's recent changes.

Operating with a standard 20 gig ipod, I am now seeing it take 9 hours to repopulate a freshly initialized device instead of the 2+ hours it used to take.  This is ridiculous.
