Hello everybody,
I've just purchased MC12 licence today and (it's my fault I agree :-[ ), because of misunderstanding of the registration process and problems with my navigator popup blocker, I already have used two of my 10 restorations per year possibilities.
Is there a possibility to get back to 10 (if it's not possible, no problem, I sure not to have to reinstall my PC 8 times in the following 12 months 8) ).
Anyway, thanks for this superb piece of software,

what happen if you use your 12 restores? Do you lose the licenses?

Restores go per calender year (in january you will have 10 restores again).
Next to that, in my experience if you ever run out of restores you can drop a note here and you will get a few extra, within reasonable limites of course.

Ditto to what Mouse said. The restore system is about keeping a lid on free copies of MC, not to restrict your use of MC. If you're having some legit probs with your system and you run out of restores, just open a thread and let J River know what's going on and they'll be happy to help you out. Boy, this really is a friendly place! :)

No, they don't come back all together. Restores are returned one by one a year after each restore was used.
If you use a restore today the amount of restores will increase by one a year after today.

They are very fair. Do not worry about it. 1st, you will probably never run out. 2nd, if you do they will help you out.

Hmm oke. Thanks for setting that straight.
Did it change then? Because I was convinced it used to reset every calender year?

The system has not changed since MJ8 was released in 2002.
MJ7 used a completely different system.

Early Beta MJ8 Also Used .rrg Files, And Was Converted to the current system as Alex B said.
