Title: MC Not Responding
Post by: InflatableMouse on October 22, 2006, 12:29:21 pm: Not sure where to start troubleshooting. Every once in a while MC stops responding. It continues playing and the two equalizer graphs move like there is nothing wrong. It kinda depends (or maybe Im impatient) but sometimes after a long pause when the song playing finishes it continues to the next song. I haven't found a particular song this is happening with. It seems random on both mp3's and Flac's.

I suspect it has to do with the auto import in the background. I noticed a similar thing when I manually started the auto-import. It had 34 songs to import and got stuck on the 30th. I ran it again and cancelled it in time to get the status screen. The last albums it was working on were already imported (?) and rerunning auto-import again finished it without a glitch. Or what I am thinking is that screenupdates stopped but the import finished in the background?

Anyway, anything I can/should do to troubleshoot?

I have one USB drive that is flakey, so I have moved everything off that drive. We'll see if that helps.

happens to me as well (when i change from music to pictures)...then i removed some selections from my views an (ie volume) and started a "create thumbnail job" seems to be working better now

Post by: InflatableMouse on October 24, 2006, 02:57:12 am: I think it had to do with one the file extensions. I limited it to mp3, ogg, flac, ape, wav and wv and hasn't done it since.
